Spare Wing respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to respond to your inquiries — nothing more.
1. Who we are
Spare Wing is a Canadian aerospace parts sourcing and distribution company based in Ontario, Canada. References in this policy to "we", "us", or "our" refer to Spare Wing.
2. What information we collect
We only collect personal information that you voluntarily submit to us. Specifically, when you complete our Request for Quote (RFQ) form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your company name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- Aerospace part details you provide (part numbers, aircraft platform, quantity, condition, urgency, target delivery date, and any additional notes you include)
We do not collect financial information, government identifiers, or sensitive personal information through this website. We do not use tracking cookies or website analytics at this time. If we add analytics tools in the future (such as Google Analytics), we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you submit solely to:
- Respond to your RFQ and other inquiries
- Source, quote, and discuss aerospace parts you are interested in
- Maintain ongoing correspondence regarding a quote or order
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising or marketing emails unless you have separately and explicitly opted in.
4. How your information is processed and stored
When you submit our RFQ form, the data is transmitted through Web3Forms, a third-party form processing service, which forwards it to our company email inbox. Our email is hosted on Namecheap Private Email. Both services apply industry-standard security measures (encryption in transit, access controls). We do not currently use a separate customer relationship management (CRM) system.
We retain your RFQ submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the quote or service you requested, and afterwards for a reasonable period to handle follow-up, recurring business, or to meet recordkeeping obligations. You may request deletion at any time — see Section 7.
5. Sharing with third parties
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers we rely on to operate this website and our email (currently Web3Forms and Namecheap), under their own privacy and security commitments;
- Suppliers, manufacturers, or logistics partners when strictly necessary to source or deliver the parts you have requested (typically your company name and shipping details only, never your personal contact information unless you instruct us to);
- Government authorities or regulators, where we are legally required to disclose information.
6. International data transfers
Because our service providers (Web3Forms and Namecheap) may operate servers outside of Canada, your information may be processed in other jurisdictions, including the United States. When this occurs, your information remains subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, in addition to Canadian privacy law.
7. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), and applicable international privacy laws such as the GDPR (for visitors in the European Economic Area) and CCPA (for residents of California), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your information, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we are relying on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your local privacy authority — in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca)

8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
This website is intended for business users in the aerospace industry. It is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent update. Material changes will be communicated by updating this page and, where appropriate, posting a notice on our website.
